Holliday Sponsors & Attends Dozer Days in Kansas City

For the past several years, Holliday Sand & Stone has been a proud sponsor and attendee of Dozer Days.

Dozer Days is an immersive three-day event that offers children the chance to operate some of the largest machines and equipment in the construction industry. Holliday and sister companies, Fordyce Concrete Company and Century Concrete, engage with hundreds of high school students from across the Kansas City metro during their Career Day, discussing opportunities for employment and training at higher learning institutions.

Students are also able to hop into the operator’s seat for a hands-on experience. Fordyce Concrete Company demonstrates how a pour works and the process of laying concrete, while Holliday brings a boulder from their Bonner Springs Quarry, inviting students to guess its correct weight for a prize. It is always a fantastic day, introducing students to our business and industry!
